According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending November 12, the production of US' crude steel totaled 1.645 million short tons, increasing by 0.3% from the same period a week ago but falling by 10% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 73.7%, up by 0.2% week on week and down by 9.1% year on year.

As of the week ending November 12, the adjusted year-to-date production of US' crude steel has amounted to 77.992 million short tons, a year-on-year drop of 4.9%. The capacity utilization rate was 78.8%, a year-on-year reduction of 2.5%.
